Visual Merchandising Manager – Retail (Germany)

Location: Field-based role across Germany (includes extensive travel)

Our client is a global consumer goods and specialty retail brand with a strong presence in international markets. Known for delivering exceptional customer experiences, the company is expanding operations in Germany and is seeking a hands-on Visual Merchandising Manager to shape and implement its in-store visual identity. As the Visual Merchandising (VM) Manager, you will be at the forefront of creating captivating retail environments that drive customer engagement and sales. This dynamic role involves mapping visual needs, planning and executing in-store marketing, and ensuring brand standards are consistently implemented across all stores in Germany. You will also play a key role in training and developing store teams to independently maintain high visual standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Visual Strategy: Identify, plan, and implement visual merchandising needs for new and existing stores during product launches, seasonal campaigns, and store refreshes.
  • In-Store Marketing: Lead the execution of signage, display, and marketing initiatives while managing allocated budgets.
  • Brand Consistency: Ensure visual standards and guidelines are maintained across all stores, creating a cohesive customer experience.
  • Team Training: Train and coach store management teams on visual merchandising techniques, empowering them to maintain standards independently.
  • Operational Oversight: Monitor and evaluate store execution, ensuring both operational and visual excellence are consistently achieved.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional partners, including marketing and operations, to align on execution strategies.
Skills & Requirements
  • Proven experience in visual merchandising at a regional, national, or multi-store level.
  • Experience working with external vendors such as printers, graphic designers, and production teams is a must.
  • Strong creative and strategic skills to design and implement impactful retail displays.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills, capable of handling multiple deadlines.
  • Effective communication and training skills with the ability to influence and inspire store teams.
  • Willingness to travel extensively across Germany.
  • Fluency in English
  • German language skills a plus
