About the Role
As Vice President M&A you will play a pivotal leadership role in the execution and success of multiple M&A transactions simultaneously. You will act as a key interface between clients, investors, senior leadership and deal teams taking ownership of transactions from origination through closing.
This role is ideal for an experienced M&A professional who combines technical excellence, strategic judgment and leadership capability and who is ready to step into a role with significant responsibility, visibility and long-term growth potential within a high-performing advisory environment.
Responsibilities
Deal Execution & Leadership
- Take end-to-end responsibility for the execution of M&A transactions across multiple mandates in parallel
- Lead deal teams throughout the full transaction lifecycle from pitch and preparation through signing and closing
- Support Partners and Managing Directors while independently managing workstreams and client interactions
Client & Investor Interface
- Act as a primary point of contact for clients and investors during live transactions
- Maintain full oversight of all commercial, financial and process-related aspects of each deal
- Confidently represent the firm in complex discussions and negotiations at senior decision-maker level
Team Development
- Serve as a trusted leader and mentor for a high-performing, ambitious team
- Ensure effective knowledge transfer, coaching and professional development of junior team members
- Foster a collaborative, high-standards culture focused on excellence and accountability
Strategic Contribution
- Actively contribute to the continuous improvement of M&A processes and transaction execution standards
- Support the development of the firm’s long‑term strategic direction and market positioning
Business Development & Network Expansion
- Continuously expand and leverage your professional network
- Actively support senior leadership in business development origination and client relationship growth
Technical Excellence
- Provide strategic and technical guidance on financial modeling, valuation, business plans, equity stories and transaction documentation
- Ensure the highest analytical and qualitative standards across all deal materials
Your Profile
Professional Experience
- 5–8 years of relevant experience in M&A advisory, investment banking or corporate finance
- Demonstrated track record of successfully executed transactions
Education
- Bachelors, Masters, MBA or PhD in Business, Economics, Finance or a comparable discipline
- Strong academic performance with a clear focus on corporate finance and transactions
Leadership & Mindset
- Entrepreneurial, proactive and ownership‑driven personality
- Strong team player with the ability to lead, motivate and develop others
Communication & Negotiation
- Excellent negotiation and presentation skills
- Confident communicator at C‑level even in challenging or high‑pressure situations
- Full professional proficiency in German and English; additional languages are an advantage
