POLARIS Raumflugzeuge GmbH is seeking a Vehicle Certification Engineer (m/f/d) in Bremen to drive certification and flight authorization for drones, hypersonic systems and spaceplanes. You will work with aerospace authorities to establish certification procedures and ensure compliance with ARP4754, DO-178C and DO254.

The role requires a strong systems engineering background, several years in EASA Initial Airworthiness or UAV drone law, and a proactive, team-oriented startup mindset.

Qualifikationen

• Strong background in systems engineering, flight safety and certification standards.
• Several years of professional experience in EASA Initial Airworthiness and EU UAV drone law desirable.
• Knowledge of aerospace safety and certification requirements (e.g., ARP4754, DO-178C, DO254).
• Experience communicating with aerospace certification authorities desirable.

Aufgaben

• Support for certification and flight authorization of drones, hypersonic systems, and spaceplanes (unmanned).
• Analyze certification requirements and derive design, verification and operation requirements for hypersonic aircraft.
• Collaborate with aviation authorities for certification and airspace integration and create new certification procedures where necessary.
• Support testing and verification of applied design standards.
• Develop regulatory frameworks or proposals for certification authorities.

Your mission

• Support for the certification and flight authorization of drones, hypersonic systems, and spaceplanes (unmanned)
• Analyzing certification requirements and deriving requirements for the design, verification, and operation of hypersonic aircraft

Your profile

• Strong Background in Systems Engineering, Flight Safety and Certification Standards
• Several years of professional experience in the field of EASA Initial Airworthiness, EU UAV drone law desirable
• Knowledge of various aerospace standards required (ISO 9001, ISO 9100, etc.)
• Knowledge of aerospace safety and certification requirements (e.g., ARP4754, DO-178C, DO254, etc.)
• Experience in communicating with aerospace certification authorities desirable
• Excellent analytical and interdisciplinary skills
