Polaris Raumflugzeuge GmbH seeks an Avionics System Integration and Design Engineer to join a fast-growing aerospace startup in Germany. You will help design, analyze and size avionics subsystems for UAVs, shaping requirements down to component level and supporting tests from design through flight testing.

Proficiency in German and English, plus ECSS/DO254 familiarity, is desirable; KiCad experience and Python/C/C++ skills are a plus.

Qualifikationen

• Degree in aerospace or electrical engineering (M.Sc., M.Eng., B.Sc., or B.Eng.)
• Proficiency in German and English
• Basic knowledge of avionics design standards (ECSS, DO-254)

Depending on the area of responsibility, professional experience and specialist background, the gross annual salary ranges from EUR 60.000,00 to EUR 100.000,00. The exact remuneration will be determined during the application process.

Your mission

• Supporting the design, analysis and sizing of avionics subsystem in UAV
• Supporting all stages from project design to commissioning and flight testing
• Requirement definition down to component Level
• Design and assembly of test equipment and procedures

Your profile

• Successfully completed aerospace or electrical engineering degree (M.Sc., M.Eng., B.Sc., B.Eng.)
• Basic knowledge of bus communication protocols (CAN, RS485, ARINC)
• Experience in aerospace related projects advantageous
• Work experience in a start-up environment is an advantage
• Hands on approach for rapid development and testing
• Proactive thinking, high level of motivation, flexibility, and team-working skills
• Proficiency in both German and English
• Successfully completed vocational training (e.g. (aircraft) electronics technician or similar)
• Background knowledge about avionics design standards in aerospace (ECSS, DO254…)
• Experience in ECAD software (KiCad)
• Programming skills (Python, C/C++, JavaScript)
• Practical experience in design of electrical systems
