POLARIS Spaceplanes GmbH in Bremen, Germany, invites applications for Head of Propulsion (m/f/d). Lead the Propulsion Division and drive engine design, testing, and integration for state-of-the-art spaceflight systems.

We seek a leader with proven experience in major rocket engine programs, the ability to manage large teams, and a startup mindset. Proficiency in German and English is required; hypersonics and defense experience are advantageous.

Aufgaben

• Lead the Propulsion Division with responsibility for at least three departments: rocket engine design, rocket engine testing, and fluid systems.
• Oversee all engine developments at POLARIS including design, manufacturing, testing and vehicle integration of propulsion systems.
• Ensure prompt and cost-effective execution of technical tasks and projects.
• Foster innovation in propulsion systems and engine/vehicle integration.
• Manage resources including personnel and budget.
• Liaise with the Vehicles department and support customer acquisition.
• The Head of Propulsion reports to the Head of Engineering.
