Zusammenfassung

Corning Incorporated in Germany seeks a Trade Compliance Specialist to monitor and interpret international trade regulations, support export/import activities, and ensure compliance with global trade laws across borders. You will prepare documentation, ensure correct product classification (MEX), and coordinate with customs brokers, freight forwarders, and internal teams.

The role requires 2–4 years in trade compliance, experience with SAP or Prisma, and knowledge of USMCA and related processes.

Qualifikationen

  • Bachelor’s degree in International Trade, Business Administration, Law, or a related field.
  • 2–4 years of experience in Trade Compliance and Customs.
  • Experience with MEX and U.S. export/import regulations and international trade laws.
  • Experience supporting an IMMEX manufacturing operation.
  • Experience with temporary imports and customs inventory controls.
  • Knowledge of Annex 24 and Annex 30 processes.
  • Experience reviewing Mexican customs declarations and supporting documents.
  • Experience with SAP, Prisma, or other customs management systems.
  • Knowledge of USMCA certificate review and origin documentation.
  • Experience working with Mexican customs brokers and cross-border logistics providers.

Aufgaben

  • Identify and address areas of non-compliance and develop trade compliance procedures.
  • Evaluate and mitigate risks related to import/export activities.
  • Collaborate with legal, logistics, procurement, and finance to ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Serve as a point of contact for customs brokers, freight forwarders, and other partners.
  • Respond to trade compliance inquiries from internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Regulatory Compliance :
  • Monitor and interpret international trade regulations, including export/import laws, tariffs, and sanctions.
  • Ensure compliance with the Export Administration Regulations (EAR), International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) regulations, and other relevant trade laws.
  • Documentation and Reporting :
  • Prepare and maintain all necessary documentation for import/export activities.
  • Ensure accurate classification of products (MEX)
  • File necessary export/import declarations and licenses with government agencies.
  • Internal Audits and Training :
  • Identify and address areas of non-compliance
  • Develop trade compliance procedures.
  • Risk Management :
  • Evaluate and mitigate risks related to import/export activities.
  • Collaboration and Communication :
  • Work closely with internal departments, including legal, logistics, procurement, and finance, to ensure compliance with trade regulations.
  • Serve as a point of contact for customs brokers, freight forwarders, and other external partners.
  • Respond to trade compliance inquiries from internal and external stakeholders.
Qualifications
  • Education : Bachelor’s degree in International Trade, Business Administration, Law, or a related field.
  • Experience :
  • Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in Trade Compliance and Customs.
  • Experience with MEX and U.S. export/import regulations and international trade laws.
  • Experience supporting an IMMEX manufacturing operation.
  • Experience with temporary imports and customs inventory controls.
  • Knowledge of Annex 24 and Annex 30 processes.

  • Skills :
  • Strong understanding of international trade regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Basic understanding of tariff classification, country of origin, customs valuation, Incoterms, and import restrictions.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in the management of an IMMEX
  • Knowledge of global trade management systems and ERP systems.
