Jobtailor seeks a Senior Global Trade Compliance professional to shape the regulatory framework, implement CMS improvements, and lead risk management on a global scale.

You will review internal policies, coordinate corrective actions, and communicate findings to management and authorities, while driving KPI development and training across teams.

Qualifikationen

• University degree in business law, customs, business administration, supply chain management, quality management, or a comparable qualification.
• Experience in compliance monitoring, ideally Global Trade Compliance, auditing, or risk management.
• In-depth knowledge of EU export control, customs, and foreign trade regulations and procedures, and knowledge of international regulatory frameworks.
• Excellent communication skills in an international environment.
• Structured, analytical, and independent approach with high attention to detail.

Aufgaben

• Conduct regular risk-based and sample-based assessments, controls, and health checks to ensure global trade compliance processes are effective
• Develop and assess the effectiveness of the Global Trade Compliance Management System
• Review compliance with internal policies, including defining and tracking corrective actions
• Contribute to the design of the global regulatory framework
• Implement and maintain the global risk management process, including KPIs and maturity assessments
• Support the design and ongoing development of the global process landscape and Internal Compliance Programs
• Create, implement, and maintain policies, standards, and minimum requirements
• Identify, analyze, and assess irregularities in coordination with relevant stakeholders
• Serve as a point of contact for Internal Audit and government authorities together with subject-matter experts
• Identify opportunities for improvement and communicate recommendations for implementing process and control enhancements
• Maintain, create, and optimize Review & Control documentation
• Deliver project-specific training
• Prepare reports and meaningful analyses for management and relevant stakeholders

Requirements

• University degree in business law, customs, business administration, supply chain management, quality management, or a comparable qualification
• At least 5 years of relevant professional experience in an internationally operating company
• In-depth knowledge of EU export control, customs, and foreign trade regulations and procedures, as well as knowledge of international regulatory frameworks
• Experience in compliance monitoring, ideally Global Trade Compliance, auditing, or risk management
• Experience assessing and enhancing Compliance Management Systems (CMS)
• Strong proficiency in documentation, data management, and reporting
• Experience with compliance tools and SAP GTS is a plus
• Excellent communication skills in an international environment
• Structured, analytical, and independent approach to work, with a high level of attention to detail
• Strong communication and consulting skills in an international environment
• Fluent in German and English
