Etteplan Defense GmbH, part of the Etteplan group, specializes in creating user manuals, inspection and maintenance instructions, functional descriptions, repair guides, and training materials for the German Armed Forces, military, and defense industry.

Your tasks include creating complex technical descriptions such as user manuals, inspection and maintenance instructions, functional descriptions, repair guides, or training materials for machinery and plant engineering in the defense industry. You will independently research and procure relevant documents for technical documentation in an XML-based editorial system. Collaboration with internal/external departments to meet customer requirements, maintaining and reviewing documentation for compliance with standards and guidelines, including S1000D, and managing projects to ensure timely, quality, and process-compliant implementation.

Your qualifications include a completed degree or vocational training with further qualification (master/technician) in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or comparable fields. Practical experience in machinery, aircraft, shipbuilding, electrical, or electronics with strong technical understanding. Knowledge of creating technical documentation in an XML-based editorial system, experience with Content Management Systems (HiCo, Quils, etc.), structured documents (XML/SGML), familiarity with German military terminology, excellent German (at least C1) and good English skills, willingness to travel nationally, and experience in technical-logistical support is desirable.
