Job summary

First Point Group is seeking a Data Centre Manager / Technical Manager to oversee the operational and technical performance of a key data centre site in Germany. You will lead daily facility operations and coordinate maintenance, guiding a site team of engineers and planners.

You will manage budgets, oversee subcontractors, ensure compliance and safety, and build strong client relationships. Fluency in German and English is required; this is a clear pathway into senior data centre leadership.

We're supporting a leading data centre services provider in the search for a Data Centre Manager / Technical Manager to oversee the operational and technical performance of a key site in Germany.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Facilities, Engineering, Critical Environment, or Data Centre professional looking to step into a broader leadership role with responsibility for site operations, maintenance delivery, client management, and team leadership.

The Role

• Lead the day-to-day operations of a data centre facility and associated maintenance activities.
• Manage a site team including technical, planning, and support staff.
• Oversee subcontractors, service delivery, compliance, and health & safety.
• Take ownership of site budgets, operational performance, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Act as the primary point of contact for the client and build strong stakeholder relationships.

Ideal Background

• Experience within data centres, critical facilities, building services, or facilities management environments.
• Previous leadership or supervisory experience.
• Strong understanding of maintenance and technical operations.
