Job summary

Hamilton Barnes is seeking a Critical Facilities Manager to run the Stuttgart data centre, taking day-to-day ownership of the site and serving as the main contact for customers and stakeholders.

You will coordinate external agencies and contractors, ensure site maintenance, compliance and health and safety, and help shape processes as the business grows. Ideal candidates have data centre exposure and a proactive, hands-on mindset, and should be based in Heidelberg or able to commute.

Qualifications

• German at B2 level or above.
• Strong customer service skills and confidence liaising with stakeholders.
• Experience managing or coordinating external agencies, contractors and service providers.
• Ability to take ownership of running a site day to day.
• Eager to learn; attitude valued over years of experience.
• Based in, or able to commute to, Heidelberg.
• Nice to have: 2–3 years of data centre experience.
• Nice to have: background in a smaller data centre or in-house corporate environment.
• Nice to have: comfortable in a start-up environment where processes are still being built.

A newly created opportunity exists for a Critical Facilities Manager to run the company’s site in Stuttgart, taking day-to-day ownership of the facility. The ideal candidate will act as the main point of contact for customers and stakeholders while coordinating the external agencies and contractors who keep the site running, with real influence over how processes and standards develop as the business grows.
