Job summary

DocMorris is seeking a Team Leader Inbound Logistics to ensure smooth, timely flow of thousands of products into a high-bay warehouse. You will lead the floor team, manage peak periods, and keep the logistics engine running efficiently.

The role requires coordinating deliveries, directing internal material flow, and maintaining strong collaboration with Quality, Purchasing and Outbound teams. A 40-hour week with a 2-shift pattern and occasional weekend work is expected.

Qualifications

• Vocational or Bachelor’s level in logistics or leadership, or proven leadership experience in a logistics environment.
• Experience with goods receipt and warehouse management systems (SAP) and MS Office.
• Good communication in English plus fluency in Dutch or German.
• Willingness to work a 2-shift schedule, including one weekend every four weeks.

Responsibilities

• You act as the central link between incoming goods and operations, ensuring a cost-effective, customer-focused workflow.
• You coordinate unloading, verify shipping documents, and ensure correct storage in the high-bay warehouse.
• You lead the inbound team daily, onboard new colleagues, and foster a productive, motivated environment.
• You ensure compliance with quality standards and coordinate with Outbound, Purchasing, and Quality Management.

When the flow of goods stops at the receiving dock, the entire warehouse comes to a halt. As Team Leader Inbound Logistics at DocMorris, you ensure that thousands of products smoothly and punctually make their way into our high-bay warehouse every day.

You lead your team on the floor, maintain oversight during peak hours, and keep the logistical engine of our operations running seamlessly.

What you will achieve

You are the central link between incoming goods and the rest of our operations. You take ownership of ensuring a cost-effective and customer-centric workflow.

Specifically, this means:

• Floor Management & Storage: You coordinate unloading, verify shipping documents, and ensure correct storage in the high-bay warehouse.

• Prioritisation & Flow: Chilled deliveries and cross-dock shipments require speed. You recognize the urgency, direct the internal material flow efficiently, and intervene before bottlenecks can form.

• Team Leadership: You lead your team in daily operations, onboard new colleagues, and build a productive environment where people are motivated to work with you.

• Quality & Collaboration: You ensure compliance with quality standards, document discrepancies accurately, and align continuously with Outbound, Purchasing, and Quality Management.

What you bring to the table

You remain calm and composed even when multiple trucks arrive at the yard simultaneously. You act respectfully, lead by example, and understand how processes interconnect in a large-scale warehouse.

Your must-haves:

• Vocational or Bachelor’s working/thinking level, or solid, proven leadership experience in a logistics environment.

• Thorough experience in goods receipt and working with warehouse management systems (specifically SAP) and MS Office.

• Good communication skills in English, plus a strong command of either Dutch OR German.

• Willingness to work a 2-shift schedule, which includes working one weekend (Saturday and Sunday) every four weeks.
