Aptiv is seeking a Senior Regulatory Certification Specialist to coordinate product certification activities and act as the primary interface with authorities, customers, and certification bodies. You will lead CE conformity efforts, manage KBA approvals, and ensure LVD/EMC/RoHS compliance across product lines.

Strong English skills required; German is a plus. Ideal candidates have experience with automotive certifications, risk assessment, and working with international regulatory bodies,

Qualifikationen

• Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience in product certification, regulatory compliance, and CE marking within the automotive or electrical industry.
• Knowledge of EU directives (LVD, EMC, RoHS) and international standards (CE, UL, E-Mark).
• Understanding of product safety requirements and risk assessment methods.
• Experience working with certification bodies, test laboratories, and regulatory authorities.
• Familiarity with KBA approval processes and E-type certification preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects in an international environment.
• Automotive industry experience and knowledge of Automotive SPICE.
• Fluent in English; German is an advantage.

• Coordinate product certification activities across APTIV CS product lines.
• Interface with customers, authorities, and certification bodies on regulatory topics.
• Coordinate certification requirements with cross-functional teams (Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing).
• Manage KBA approvals and support E-type approval processes.
• Lead CE conformity activities and prepare EU Declarations of Conformity.
• Ensure compliance with LVD, EMC, RoHS directives.
• Review technical documentation for certification readiness.
• Lead regulatory risk assessments and product safety reviews.
• Support development teams on regulatory and compliance needs throughout the lifecycle.
• Serve as SME for certification, product safety, and regulatory compliance.
• Assist manufacturing plants during audits, inspections, and regulatory assessments.
• Drive knowledge sharing and best practices within global compliance.

Main Accountabilities

• Coordinate product certification activities for all APTIV CS product lines.
• Act as the main interface for certification and regulatory compliance topics towards customers, authorities, and certification bodies.
• Coordinate certification requirements with Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, and other cross-functional teams.
• Manage KBA approvals and support E-type approval processes.
• Lead CE conformity activities, including the preparation and issuance of EU Declarations of Conformity.
• Ensure compliance with applicable regulations and directives, including LVD, EMC, and RoHS requirements.
• Review technical documentation and assess product readiness for certification and market approval.
• Coordinate and lead product safety and regulatory risk assessments.
• Support development teams on regulatory, product safety, and compliance requirements throughout the product lifecycle.
• Serve as the subject matter expert for product certification, product safety, and regulatory compliance.
• Support manufacturing plants during audits, inspections, and regulatory assessments.
• Drive continuous improvement, knowledge sharing, and best practices within the global compliance community.
