Job summary

Vestas in Germany seeks a Service Technician (m/f/d) to perform on-site servicing and maintenance of wind turbines in your region.

You will work in a small team, repair turbines, diagnose faults, implement modifications, and document work digitally to keep operations smooth. The role requires a technical qualification in electrical engineering, electronics, mechatronics or similar, and a valid Class B license; German and English skills are a must.

Qualifications

• Vocational training in electrical engineering, electronics, mechatronics, or a comparable technical qualification.
• Place of work varies within region; usually home in the evenings.
• Familiar with Microsoft and iOS platforms; SAP experience is a plus.
• Able to work at heights and hold a Class B license.

Responsibilities

• Perform on-site servicing and maintenance of wind turbines.
• Work in a team to repair turbines and fix faults.
• Analyze electronic and mechanical error messages to identify causes.
• Implement modification measures to improve turbine performance.
• Document work digitally in a simple, efficient way.

Your responsibilities – here's where you can get involved!

• You ensure our wind turbines operate reliably by carrying out on-site servicing and maintenance
• Working as part of a team (at least two people), you repair turbines and resolve faults
• You analyse electronic and mechanical error messages and accurately identify the cause
• You carry out modification measures to enhance turbine performance
• You document your work digitally in a simple and efficient way

Your profile – what makes you a great fit!

• You have completed vocational training in electrical engineering, electronics, mechatronics, energy and building technology or have a comparable technical qualification
• Your place of work will vary within your region – you will usually be home again in the evening
• You are familiar with working with Microsoft and iOS operating systems and apps, and ideally have experience with SAP
• You are comfortable working at heights and can operate safely above ground level
• You have a valid Class B driver’s licence (financial support for Class BE may be available)
• Very good German and good English skills round off your profile
