Job summary

Vestas is seeking a Service Technician (m/f/d) based in Neumünster to keep wind turbines running reliably through hands-on on-site servicing and maintenance. The role involves teamwork, fault repair, and performance optimization while working within the region and returning home each evening.

You will bring vocational training in electrical/electronic/mechatronic disciplines or a comparable qualification, with German and English language skills.

Qualifications

• Vocational training or equivalent in electrical engineering, electronics, mechatronics, energy/building technology.
• Place of work varies within the region; usually home in the evening.
• Familiar with Microsoft and iOS operating systems and apps; SAP experience preferred.
• Comfortable working at heights and safe operation above ground level.
• Valid Class B driver’s licence (BE support may be available).
• Very good German and good English skills.

Responsibilities

• Carry out on-site servicing and maintenance to ensure wind turbines operate reliably.
• Work in a team (at least two people) to repair turbines and resolve faults.
• Analyze electronic and mechanical error messages to identify root causes.
• Implement modification measures to enhance turbine performance.
• Document work digitally in a simple and efficient way.

• You ensure our wind turbines operate reliably by carrying out on-site servicing and maintenance

Your profile – what makes you a great fit!

• You have completed vocational training in electrical engineering, electronics, mechatronics, energy and building technology or have a comparable technical qualification
• Your place of work will vary within your region – you will usually be home again in the evening
• You are familiar with working with Microsoft and iOS operating systems and apps, and ideally have experience with SAP
• You are comfortable working at heights and can operate safely above ground level
• You have a valid Class B driver’s licence (financial support for Class BE may be available)
• Very good German and good English skills round off your profile
