Your challenge
As our Senior Tax Manager, you will play a pivotal role in strengthening and scaling Taxfix's global tax landscape. You will step into a highly impactful position where you lead the development of a robust tax governance framework, bring clarity to complex international tax requirements, and ensure our operations remain compliant as we continue to grow. You'll work closely with Finance, Legal, Product, and external advisors to further develop our tax standards, ensure compliance across jurisdictions, and support new product innovation with clear, practical tax guidance. This is a rare opportunity to shape how tax is managed across the entire Taxfix Group and to leave a lasting mark on our global operational excellence.
Your responsibilities
- Manage global tax compliance across all relevant jurisdictions, including VAT and corporate tax, ensuring timely, accurate filings and maintaining consistent documentation standards as the company scales.
- Lead relationships with external advisors and tax authorities, coordinating responses for audits, regulatory queries, and complex compliance matters to manage risk and maintain a strong control environment.
- Partner closely with R&D, Legal and FP&A to embed accurate, up-to-date tax logic into finance and billing systems.
- Provide proactive tax guidance for new market entries, product launches, pricing structures, and commercial partnerships, ensuring tax implications are considered early in strategic discussions.
- Define and govern tax data requirements, ensuring tax-relevant data pipelines are complete, accurate, and available for audits, reconciliations, and decision‑making.
- Collaborate with Legal and FP&A on intercompany structuring, transfer pricing documentation, budgeting for tax liabilities, and long‑term tax planning.
- Educate internal teams, build tax awareness across departments, and support stronger cross‑functional decision‑making by promoting a clear understanding of tax‑sensitive areas.
Your profile
- Deep expertise in Indirect Tax (VAT), especially EU VAT rules, with 5‑7+ years of hands‑on experience across registrations, filings, audits, and cross‑border advisory.
- Solid knowledge of global tax compliance requirements - corporate tax, wage tax, and international obligations - gained ideally in a multinational or fast‑scaling environment.
- Practical experience developing or managing tax compliance processes and internal controls, including working with ERP/billing systems to ensure accurate tax treatment.
- Hands‑on Transfer Pricing experience (3+ years), including TP documentation, benchmarking, intercompany agreements, and annual TP calculations.
- A proven track record of leading tax audits and managing external advisers, representing your company effectively and resolving complex issues.
- Experience with tax technology and automation tools (e.g., NetSuite, compliance trackers, VAT engines) and a desire to improve tooling and streamline tax operations.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, capable of interpreting complex tax legislation and translating it into actionable, business‑friendly guidance.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with a history of advising cross‑functional teams such as Finance Ops, Product, and Legal.
- Demonstrated project management capability, with the ability to prioritize, sequence, and deliver multiple international tax initiatives within tight timelines.
- Fluency in English; German proficiency is a strong plus for interactions with local authorities.
