Job summary

Aconium in Berlin is seeking a (Senior) HR Manager to join our team immediately. You will advise leaders, manage HR processes end-to-end, and shape a modern, legally compliant working environment.

You’ll drive HR metrics, digitalize processes (including HR systems like Personio), and support recruiting across the business unit, while offering flexible, remote-friendly work arrangements and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Degree in HR/Business or related field.
• Several years of experience as a generalist HR professional.
• Experience applying individual labor law and developing pragmatic solutions.
• Strong communication, empathy and executive advisory skills.
• Proficiency in Excel and HR metrics/analyses.
• Tech-savvy with modern HR systems (ideally Personio) and openness to AI in HR.
• Independent, structured, with German fluency and good English.

We are currently looking for a (Senior) HR Manager for our Berlin office, to start immediately.

Your responsibilities:

• Consulting & Employee Support: You will independently support the managers and employees in your business unit, provide advice on an equal footing on all human resources issues, and oversee the relevant HR processes throughout the entire employee life cycle—from onboarding to offboarding.
• Support for Human Resources Initiatives: You provide support for individual human resources initiatives within your area of responsibility, contribute your expertise in individual employment law, and work with managers to develop solutions that are legally sound, make good business sense, and are practical.
• HR Metrics & Reporting: You use relevant HR metrics and analyses to identify trends and areas requiring action within your area of responsibility, thereby laying a solid foundation for advising our executives and making HR decisions.
• Digitalization & Modern HR Processes: You work confidently with digital HR systems, ensure the high quality of our HR data, and use modern tools and AI-powered applications to make processes more efficient and shape our HR work for the future.
• HR Projects & Working Conditions: You’ll contribute your own ideas, work closely with the various departments, and continuously refine our HR processes as well as modern, attractive, and sustainable working conditions within your area of responsibility.
• Recruiting & Talent Acquisition: As needed, you will assist in filling open positions within your area of responsibility, advise managers on defining job requirements, and work with our recruiting team to select suitable candidates.

Your requirements:

• You have a college degree with a major in human resources, business administration, or a related field, or you have completed relevant vocational training or hold a comparable qualification.
• You have several years of professional experience in a generalist HR role and, ideally, have already worked independently to support managers and employees in a specific business unit.
• You have practical experience in applying individual labor law and know how to accurately assess labor law issues and develop pragmatic solutions in collaboration with the parties involved.
• You enjoy advising executives, excel through strong communication skills, empathy, and a confident demeanor, and are able to align the interests of employees with the company’s needs.
• You have a strong grasp of numbers, are proficient in Excel, and, ideally, have already used HR metrics and analyses to prepare for and support HR-related decisions.
• You are tech-savvy, confident in using modern HR systems (ideally Personio), and interested in applying new technologies and AI applications in a meaningful and responsible way in HR work.
• You work independently, in a structured and solution-oriented manner; you maintain a clear overview even when juggling multiple tasks simultaneously; and you have a very good command of German and, ideally, a good command of English.
