Job summary

Camino Search is partnering with a fast-growing, private equity-backed technology business to hire a Senior Group Accountant in Germany. You will own group accounting and consolidation across multiple entities and lead the monthly, quarterly and annual close under HGB and IFRS.

Hybrid role with 1–2 days per week in Stuttgart, reporting to the CFO. It offers scope to enhance internal controls, automate processes, and support acquisitions as the business grows.

Qualifications

• Experience in multi-entity consolidation for investor-backed or multinational organisations.
• Fluent German and English.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of Group accounting and consolidation across multiple entities in Germany.
• Lead the monthly, quarterly and annual closing process under HGB and IFRS.
• Strengthen internal controls and automate recurring finance processes.
• Manage day-to-day accounting including GL, AP, AR, fixed assets, provisions and reconciliations.
• Collaborate with Controlling and project teams on project costs and contracts.
• Oversee the consolidation process including intercompany reconciliations and eliminations.

This is a key hire within the finance function, reporting directly to the CFO. It's an excellent opportunity for someone looking to take ownership of Group accounting while playing a central role as the business scales. The company is going through an exciting period of growth, with further expansion and acquisitions planned, creating significant scope for the role to develop alongside it.

What you'll be doing

• Take ownership of Group accounting and consolidation across multiple entities in Germany
• Lead the monthly, quarterly and annual closing process, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting under HGB and IFRS
• Work closely with the CFO to strengthen internal controls, improve data quality and automate recurring finance processes
• Take responsibility for day-to-day accounting including GL, AP, AR, fixed assets, provisions and reconciliations
• Work closely with Controlling and project teams on areas including project costs, capitalisation and accounting for material contracts
• Manage the consolidation process, including intercompany reconciliations, eliminations and the integration of new entities
