Global Accounting Network is seeking a Senior Financial Accountant (HGB/IFRS) in Hamburg to own financial reporting across multiple entities. You will ensure compliance with HGB and IFRS, manage GL, VAT, and intercompany reconciliations, and support a fast-paced, acquisitive environment.

Ideal candidates are qualified accountants with exposure to software/SaaS sectors, strong Excel skills, and fluent German plus good English communication.

Qualifikationen

• Qualified accountant or Bilanzbuchhalter with strong financial accounting expertise.
• Solid experience preparing financial statements under HGB and IFRS.
• Background in software, technology, SaaS, or similar sectors preferred.
• Experience working across multiple legal entities is advantageous.
• Strong systems and Excel skills with an interest in process improvement.
• Fluent German and good English communication skills.

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a growing, private equity-backed SAAS company, the organisation is expanding rapidly and is seeking an experienced Senior Financial Accountant to support several entities within the group.

You will take ownership of financial accounting and reporting for multiple business units, ensuring compliance with HGB and IFRS while supporting a fast-paced, acquisitive environment. Reporting into the VP Finance.

Key responsibilities include:

• Preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Managing general ledger, AP, AR, and fixed asset accounting.
• Supporting VAT and tax compliance activities.
