We are convinced that various central banks will introduce a digital version of their currency a so-called Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC) like the digital Euro in the coming years. This will create an entirely new market for products and services that fit perfectly with GieseckeDevrients product portfolio. It especially requires and outstanding team to deliver a disruptive innovation of that magnitude. For this we have set-up a team as an independent start-up within GD advance52 GmbH that has a clear mission for growth and to create a substantial product business. During the next year we are scaling rapidly to meet market demands and the Project Controller will play a key role in overseeing project costs ensuring budget adherence and maintaining transparency throughout the project lifetime.

As a Senior Finance Business Partner you will play a pivotal role in shaping the financial success of our customer-facing digital currency projects. Acting as a strategic sparring partner you will ensure financial transparency drive performance and contribute to the delivery of cutting‑edge CBDC solutions in a dynamic international environment.

Your Responsibilities :

• You will keep a close eye on our project budgets and costs ensuring compliance with financial targets. Your precise analyses and reports help us make informed decisions.
• You will be an indispensable business partner for our project managers helping them in depicting the project in our systems and continuously assisting in planning and forecasting efforts. Together you ensure that our projects stay on schedule and within budget.
• You will identify deviations early and develop fit‑to‑purpose solutions to correct them. Your ability to anticipate problems and act proactively is crucial to our success.
• You will bring fresh ideas and continuously work on improving our controlling processes and tools. Your innovative spirit helps us stay ahead.
• You will work closely with various stakeholders to ensure all financial goals are met. Your communication skills and teamwork make you a valued member of our team.

Your Professional Profile :

• You have a degree in business administration finance or a related field providing you with a solid foundation in financial principles.
• You bring several years of experience in project controlling ideally within a startup or technology environment demonstrating your ability to thrive in dynamic settings.
• Your strong analytical skills and high affinity for numbers enable you to make data‑driven decisions and provide valuable insights.
• You show proficiency in ERP systems (SAP CO & PS) and modern controlling software (PowerBI) ensuring you can efficiently manage & communicate financial data. Experience in applying AI tools in controlling processes is a plus.
• You possess excellent communication skills and are a team player capable of working effectively with various stakeholders.
• You have a proactive and independent working style allowing you to take initiative and drive projects forward.
• You are fluent in both German and English enabling you to communicate effectively in an international environment.
