Job summary

Alpine Eagle GmbH is building the future of counter-drone defence and embedded platforms. We seek aSenior Embedded Platform Engineer who will design, develop, and maintain embedded software across the device lifecycle, focusing on robust security, networking, and scalable platform services.

You will work with a mission-driven, international team to implement cutting-edge OS configurations, secure provisioning, and over-the-air updates for highly distributed systems, while ensuring reliability

Qualifications

• Strong experience in embedded Linux or comparable embedded operating systems.
• Experience with device lifecycle management, software deployment and system-level debugging.
• Knowledge of embedded security, networking and secure update mechanisms.
• Proficiency in C/C++, Python or relevant systems programming languages.
• Experience working with hardware-dependent and distributed software systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain embedded operating system configurations, device abstractions and common system services.
• Implement secure device provisioning, identity and key management, access control, and over-the-air (OTA) software updates.
• Establish common runtime, deployment, diagnostics and recovery mechanisms.
• Define stable interfaces that allow domain teams to deploy their software without needing to manage underlying platform complexity.
• Ensure reliability, maintainability and security across the device lifecycle.
