Job summary

Siemens AG is seeking a Senior Digital Engineering Consultant to lead cross‑functional, international R&D and engineering projects. You will drive digital transformation strategies for engineering, leveraging digital twins and AI to optimize product development and manufacturing in collaboration with global clients.

The role requires strong consulting experience, fluency in English at a professional level, and willingness to travel to customer sites as part of international projects.

Qualifications

• Outstanding academic background such as M.Sc./M.Eng./Ph.D. or Dr.-Ing in an engineering discipline.
• Alternative: B.Sc./B.Eng. with extensive relevant work experience.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of interdisciplinary and international R&D and engineering projects, collaborating with customer management and extending scope to manufacturing.
• Analyze customer needs to identify innovative digital transformation solutions for engineering, product development and management.
• Design, develop, and implement tailored digital transformation strategies and roadmaps for engineering in close collaboration with clients.
• Coordinate Siemens stakeholders to translate strategic roadmaps into reality and strengthen our consulting portfolio.
• Proactively anticipate future needs to expand our consulting offerings across industries.

You bring together all relevant Siemens stakeholders to address customer challenges and turn strategic roadmaps into reality supercharging both our customers and Siemens business units.

You optimize end-to-end value chains across industries such as automotive, industrial manufacturing, and medical technology.

You proactively anticipate future needs and continuously contribute to strengthening and expanding our consulting portfolio.

This is how you'll win us over

You have an outstanding academic background, such as an M.Sc., M.Eng., Ph.D., or Dr.-Ing. in an engineering discipline (e.g., mechanical engineering, mechatronics, or similar). Alternatively, you hold a B.Sc. or B.Eng. combined with extensive relevant work experience.

You bring relevant experience in digital engineering and digital twins, ideally including industry experience and a solid understanding of engineering and PLM processes.

You have gained consulting experience throughout your career and are able to guide our customers on their digital transformation journey.

You combine strategic thinking with hands-on consulting expertise to design and implement PLM and digital engineering solutions that deliver measurable business impact.

You have gained exposure to international environments through your professional career, studies, or internships.

You are passionate about building trusted client relationships and are comfortable traveling to customer sites in the context of international consulting projects.
