THE ROLE OVERVIEW

As we expand our operations, we are looking for a motivated and experienced Senior Contract Manager to join our team. The Senior Contract Manager is responsible for the contractual management of construction-related agreements, key component supply contracts and service provider agreements across the company’s renewable energy portfolio.

The role requires the ability to independently lead and conclude negotiations with main contractors, component suppliers and engineering service providers, ensuring optimal risk allocation and mitigation and cost control. The position works closely with project development, procurement, engineering, construction, and finance teams.

TASKS

  • Define and implement the contractual strategy for EPC, main contractor/sub-contractor, component supply contracts, and service provider agreements across the renewable energy portfolio
  • Support selection of appropriate contracting and sourcing models in coordination with Legal and Procurement
  • Ensure contracts comply with internal governance, lender requirements, and insurance constraints
  • Lead or support sourcing, pre-qualification, and tendering processes for contractors, service providers, and component suppliers
  • Independently lead contractual negotiations with EPC and construction contractors, subcontractors and BOP suppliers, engineering and technical service providers, and component suppliers
  • Draft, review, and negotiate construction and supply contracts covering scope, pricing, schedule, performance, warranties, change management, and risk allocation
  • Coordinate with internal legal counsel and external advisors as required
  • Support projects during execution, including management of variations, claims, and dispute avoidance
  • Monitor contractor and supplier compliance during manufacturing, delivery, and construction
  • Support resolution of contractual issues and provide clear contractual guidance to project teams
  • Clearly communicate contractual risks and commercial positions to senior management

PROFILE

  • 5+ years’ experience in contract management within the renewable energy sector
  • Strong knowledge of EPC, Sub-EPC, Light-EPC, BOP, and component supply contracting structures
  • Proven ability to independently negotiate with contractors, service providers, and component suppliers
  • Experience working across multiple geographies and stakeholder environments
  • Strong understanding of legal and commercial contract terms, including risk allocation and mitigation
  • Excellent analytical, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
  • Commercial judgement with strong risk awareness
  • Ability to operate effectively at the interface of Legal and Procurement
  • Structured, pragmatic, and detail-oriented approach
  • Confidence in negotiations with senior counterparties
  • Fluent in English (additional languages beneficial)
