The Business Development team identifies and qualifies bank partner prospects and builds relationships with relevant senior stakeholders to establish Raisin as an attractive funding channel. We closely work with banks to define their optimal funding strategy by leveraging Raisin’s pan-European funding capabilities.

We are looking for a motivated and driven individual responsible for the French market who wants to help grow Raisin’s innovative business model by acquiring new partner banks. Working alongside our CEO and the Business Development team, you will have a significant impact on the success of our business by developing the French market, acquiring new partner banks, and building a network and connection to decision-makers within the industry.

The Senior Business Development Manager is responsible for identifying and acquiring new partner banks and financial institutions, managing the full sales cycle from lead generation to contract negotiation. This role involves building and maintaining strong client relationships, closely collaborating with other Raisin teams to tailor optimal solutions, and driving revenue growth by promoting Raisin’s marketplace offering for financial institutions.

Your Responsibilities

Full ownership of Raisin business in terms of top-line generation and operational day-to-day management of the platform, in particular:

  • Acquisition of new partnerships and channels, including large Financial Institutions
  • Own and maintain a robust sales pipeline with accurate forecasting and regular updates to senior management.
  • Market screening, identification and lead generation with potential bank partners, incl. planning and executing campaigns to generate leads
  • Build and nurture relationships with decision-makers and senior stakeholders, including C-Level executives, Treasury, and Product/IT functions.
  • Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and regulatory developments to anticipate shifts in client needs
  • Work closely within Raisin to ensure support a sustainable partnership

Your Profile
  • University degree in business, economics or a comparable field, preferably with a focus on finance

  • Minimum of 5 years of work experience in consulting, finance (e.g. banks or service providers), financial comparison sites, affiliates, ideally in combination with points of contact to the start-up and/or FinTech industry

  • Having worked in B2B sales or business development functions is of advantage

  • Experience in areas of treasury, liquidity management or deposit products are highly beneficial

  • Entrepreneurial mind-set and the ability to work and communicate in a fast-paced international environment

  • Excellent analytical and communication skills

  • Winning personality with ability to build long-lasting relationships

  • Fluency in English and French (other European languages are a plus)
