IC Resources is seeking an Analog/Mixed-Signal IC Design Engineer in Germany to contribute to implantable microelectronics. You will design low-noise analog blocks, LNAs, and high-resolution ADCs, while managing power, area, and thermal constraints.

The role requires strong device physics knowledge, multi-channel experience, and Cadence Virtuoso proficiency. A degree or doctorate in EE, Microelectronics, or Physics is essential, with experience in HV BCD technology being a plus.

Qualifikationen

• PhD or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Microelectronics, or Physics with strong academic record.
• Proven AMS IC design experience, especially low-noise analog circuits for bio-signal processing.
• Silicon-proven designs in LNAs and ADCs, multi-channel implementations.
• Strong device physics knowledge and understanding of analog design trade-offs (PPA).
• Experience with Cadence Virtuoso; HV BCD tech is a plus.

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Analog/Mixed-Signal IC Design Engineer to join our clients team in developing the next generation of implantable microelectronics.This role offers the opportunity to contribute to groundbreaking advancements in implantable chips that will transform lives and push the limits of innovation. Junior to senior level experience will be considered if they have a valid work permit for Germany.

Responsibilities:

• Design and implement analog and mixed-signal circuit blocks for the acquisition and processing of neural signals in the micro-volt range.
• Develop core analog blocks like LNAs, adjustable gain stages, and high-resolution ADCs, while adhering to stringent power and thermal constraints.
• Perform transistor-level circuit design, oversee physical layout, and verify designs comprehensively through simulation.
• Guide designs through tape-out and silicon validation, analyze laboratory measurement data, and iterate on subsequent generations of the ASIC.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and development partners to shape the system architecture of the implant

Qualifications:

• A degree or doctorate in Electrical Engineering, Microelectronics, Physics, or a related field, with outstanding academic performance.
• Proven experience in AMS IC Design specifically low-noise analog circuits and a deep understanding of the challenges associated with processing biological signals
• Silicon-proven designs in LNA's and ADC's, especially in multi-channel implementations
• Strong knowledge of device physics to analog IC design
• Excellent understanding of PPA trade-off (power, performance [noise and linearity], and area) in analog and mixed-signal design
• Excellent knowledge of analog design flow in Cadence Virtuoso
• Experience with HV BCD technology is a plus
