Position: Satellite Systems Engineer (m/f/d) - Permanent employment in Bremen

Your Tasks
Main Responsibilities
  • Perform analysis of satellite functional and interface requirements.
  • Flow down satellite requirements to subsystem specifications.
  • Ensure compliance with satellite technical requirements.
  • Coordinate spacecraft validation and verification at the system level.

Collaborate with Architects and Subsystem Engineers on:

  • Technical system budgets (electrical power, propellant, telemetry, command, pointing, mass properties).
  • Define satellite configuration and manage interfaces (e.g., launcher interfaces).
  • Support generation of AIT and operation plans.
  • Supervise satellite testing and review results.
  • Define test specifications for system level tests and verification.
  • Maintain spacecraft databases and simulators.
  • Prepare for launch and flight phases, including launcher interface setup and operational data preparation.
  • Contribute to project risk management regarding technical risks.
Your Qualifications
  • Degree in engineering, physics, or equivalent.
  • Experience in satellite projects, especially phases B/C/D and verification.
  • Experience in technical negotiations with customers.
  • Self-managed, proactive work style.
  • Ability to implement and work within processes.
  • Teamwork skills.
  • Proficiency in English (written and spoken); German and other languages are advantageous).
