Job summary

Siemens Energy is seeking a SAP Software License Manager (f/m/d) in Berlin to lead governance and optimization of SAP licenses across ERP and cloud landscapes. You will ensure license compliance, analyze consumption and entitlements, and advise stakeholders on licensing strategies, audits, and cost optimization.

You will collaborate with IT, Procurement, Finance, and external partners to minimize financial risk and maximize value of SAP investments.

Qualifications

• Experience in Software Asset Management (SAM) focusing on SAP licenses.
• Proven ability to analyze license consumption and entitlements.
• Strong analytical skills in data analysis, risk, and financial modeling.

Responsibilities

• Own and govern SAP license posture, ensuring compliance and risk reporting.
• Develop governance frameworks for SAP licensing across ECC, S/4HANA, RISE, and Cloud
• Analyze license usage data, validate metrics, and reconcile entitlements.
• Lead optimization initiatives for cost efficiency and licensing strategy.
• Advise stakeholders on budgeting, demand planning, and negotiations.
• Coordinate audits and liaison with SAP, Procurement, Finance, IT, and partners.

You ensure license compliance, analyze consumption and contractual entitlements, and provide expert guidance to stakeholders on licensing strategies, audits, and cost optimization. By collaborating closely with IT, Procurement, Finance, and external partners, you help minimize financial risks and maximize the value of SAP investments.

As a SAP Software License Manager (f/m/d), you drive the strategic governance and optimization of SAP software licenses across complex ERP and cloud landscapes. You ensure license compliance, analyze consumption and contractual entitlements, and provide expert guidance to stakeholders on licensing strategies, audits, and cost optimization. By collaborating closely with IT, Procurement, Finance, and external partners, you help minimize financial risks and maximize the value of SAP investments.

How You’ll Make An Impact

• Ownership and governance of the SAP Effective License Position (ELP), including license compliance, quality assurance, and risk reporting
• Development and implementation of SAP license governance frameworks across SAP ECC, SAP S/4HANA, RISE with SAP, and SAP Cloud environments
• Analysis, validation, and reconciliation of SAP license consumption data, including user, engine, FUE, and Digital Access metrics
• Identification and execution of SAP license optimization initiatives, including cost optimization, compliance remediation, and licensing strategy for transformation programs
• Strategic advisory for stakeholders on SAP licensing, budgeting, demand planning, supplier negotiations, and commercial decision-making
• Management of SAP license audits, stakeholder communication, and collaboration with SAP, Procurement, Finance, IT, and external organizations such as DSAG

What You Bring

• University degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field
• Extensive professional experience in Software Asset Management (SAM) with a strong focus on SAP software license management
• Proven expertise in managing SAP licensing across complex landscapes, including SAP ECC, SAP S/4HANA, RISE with SAP, and SAP Cloud solutions
• Comprehensive knowledge of SAP licensing models, including Digital Access, indirect usage, user and engine license metrics, and contract analysis
• Strong analytical expertise in data analysis, license reconciliation, financial modeling, risk management, compliance, and process improvement
• Excellent stakeholder management, strategic advisory, negotiation support, and communication skills in German and English
