Job summary

Siemens Energy is seeking an experienced internal audit professional to conduct risk-based audits and to lead a team across multiple business units. You will collaborate with senior management to ensure robust controls, compliance, and efficient processes while traveling globally up to 50% in a hybrid work setup in Germany.

The ideal candidate has a strong background in accounting, finance, and data analytics, with excellent communication skills in English and German preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, economics, accounting, finance, or business management.
• CA/ACCA/CPA/CIA/MBA or Data Analytics degree is a plus.
• Several years of experience in a commercial or financial role with exposure to accounting and/or internal control policies.

Responsibilities

• Conduct risk-based internal audits to assess the effectiveness of internal controls, financial systems, and operational processes.
• Support the development and execution of audit plans, including scoping, testing, and documentation, to ensure compliance with policies, regulations, and best practices.
• Lead and manage a team of internal auditors, providing guidance and oversight to ensure high-quality audit execution and timely completion of audit projects.
• Monitor the implementation of audit recommendations and verify the effectiveness of corrective actions taken by various business units.

How You'll Make an Impact

• Conduct risk-based internal audits to assess the effectiveness of the organization's internal controls, financial systems, and operational processes
• Support the development and execution of audit plans, including scoping, testing, and documentation, to ensure compliance with internal policies, regulations, and industry best practices
• Lead and manage a team of internal auditors, providing guidance and oversight to ensure high-quality audit execution and timely completion of audit projects
• Monitor the implementation of audit recommendations and verify the effectiveness of corrective actions taken by various business units

What You Bring

• Bachelor's Degree in engineering, economics, accounting, finance, or business management; CA, ACCA, CPA, CIA, MBA or Data Analytics degree a plus
• Several years of experience in a commercial or financial role with an exposure to accounting and/or internal control policies preferred
• A verifiable history of high-level performance
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English and ideally German with ability to effectively communicate across multiple management tiers
• Practical understanding of Data Science and/or Data Analytics tools (e.g., Tableau, Alteryx, etc.)
• A commitment to continuous learning and readiness for global travel up to 50%.
