Job summary

Discover Recruitment is seeking an SAP Developer in Hamburg to drive cloud transformations and deliver modern SAP S/4HANA cloud projects for a regional client base. You will build with ABAP Cloud, RAP, CDS Views, OData and UI5, and innovate on the SAP Business Technology Platform with strong integration skills.

You will work on future-proof architectures, connect landscapes using Integration Suite, Event Mesh, REST/SOAP/RFC/IDoc, and contribute to AI agent and MCP initiatives.

Qualifications

• Several years of SAP S/4HANA cloud landscapes experience.
• Solid knowledge of ABAP, CDS Views, RAP and OData services.
• Hands-on with SAP BTP services and integration technologies.
• Understanding of CPI, REST, SOAP, RFC, IDoc and Event Mesh.
• Knowledge of AI developments (agents, MCP architectures) is a plus.
• Frontend skills in JavaScript/UI5 and SQL are a plus.
• Fluent German and English.

The Role

• Drive cloud transformations. You’ll work on exciting SAP S/4HANA cloud transformation projects for renowned clients across industry, logistics, retail, healthcare and insurance.
• Build with a modern stack. You’ll develop solutions using ABAP Cloud, RAP, CDS Views, OData and UI5.
• Innovate on BTP. You’ll create smart extensions on the SAP Business Technology Platform.
• Connect the landscape. You’ll design and build integration scenarios with Integration Suite, Event Mesh, REST, SOAP, RFC and IDoc.
• Architect for the future. You’ll design scalable, future-proof architectures based on clean core and cloud principles.
• Shape what comes next. You’ll actively help shape innovation topics and cloud strategies, especially around AI agents and MCP architectures.
• Work closely with clients. You’ll turn business requirements into intelligent, sustainable SAP solutions.

You’ll Bring

• Several years of experience in SAP S/4HANA private and/or public cloud landscapes
• Solid knowledge of ABAP, CDS Views, the RAP model and OData services
• Hands-on experience using and setting up SAP BTP services
• A good understanding of integration technologies such as CPI, REST, SOAP, RFC, IDoc and Event Mesh
• Practical understanding of clean core principles, standardisation and release management in the public cloud
• Knowledge of AI developments (agents, MCP architectures) is a plus
• Additional programming skills, such as SQL or front-end development with JavaScript and (Open)UI5, are a plus
• Fluent German and English
• A real appetite for learning new technologies
