Job summary

Workist is seeking an SAP SD developer for our Solution Engineering team. You will own the SAP side of the integration and guide customers from workshops through go-live, ensuring smooth data flows and compliance.

You will implement SAP integrations for S/4HANA and ECC, align with product roadmaps, and explore AI-driven data extraction. Fluency in German and English (C1) and 2–3 years of SAP development experience are required.

Qualifications

• You have 2-3 years of hands‑on SAP development experience.
• You are proficient in ABAP and ABAP Objects and can build end‑to‑end components.
• You’ve built or consumed OData services (Gateway or RAP) and REST APIs with JSON mapping and error handling.
• You work in ADT/Eclipse and can handle the classic workbench if required; abapGit, RAP, ABAP Cloud or BTP experience is welcome.
• You’re interested in AI‑extracted order data into SAP and using AI tooling in your work.
• You can explain technical decisions to a customer’s SAP team and run requirements workshops.
• First experience with Python is a plus.
• You speak fluent German and English (C1).

Your role with us

For our Solution Engineering team we're looking for an SAP SD developer. At Workist, our Solution Engineering team works directly with our customers to connect their ERP (e.g. SAP) systems to our AI platform and get them live as fast as possible. Our customers rely on Workist's AI software to automate core processes in Sales and Procurement. SAP is where the majority of that data lives, thus we need to tightly integrate with SAP. In this role you'll combine product engineering with hands-on project work, and you'll be the person who makes our SAP integration scale.

Your responsibilities

You own the SAP side of the Workist integration and are an important part of the customer journey, from the first technical workshop through go-live and beyond. You proactively identify process and product improvements.

• You are the technical counterpart for our customers before and after signature, making sure our software is compatible with their existing SAP landscape and compliant with data protection requirements.
• You work closely with our Product & Engineering team to align the SAP integration with our product roadmap.
• You analyse and identify new use cases that create measurable value for our customers.

Your profile

You’ll work in a small team that gets customers live fast. What we need from you:

• You have 2-3 years of hands‑on SAP development experience.
• You are proficient in ABAP and ABAP Objects. You’ve built at least one component end‑to‑end, e.g. an enhancement, an RFC‑enabled function module or an OData service, not only reports.
• You’ve built or consumed OData services (Gateway or RAP) and REST APIs, and you know what JSON mapping and error handling look like on both sides.
• You work in ADT/Eclipse and can handle the classic workbench when a customer system requires it. abapGit, RAP, ABAP Cloud or also BTP experience is welcome.
• You’re interested in what it takes to get AI‑extracted order data into SAP reliably. Using AI tooling in your own work is normal for you.
• You can explain a technical decision to a customer’s SAP team and are willing to run requirements workshops, the first ones together with us.
• First experience with Python is a plus.
• You speak fluent German and English (native or at least C1).
