Job summary

The Hoxton Hamburg is seeking a Revenue Manager to lead the hotel’s revenue strategy, market analysis, and distribution. You will drive profitability while collaborating with hotel teams and our brand/digital partners to shape pricing, marketing, and sales.

You’ll own weekly forecasts, budget processes, and channel management, maintaining close oversight of systems and performance across the group. Hamburg market knowledge is a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2-3 years' experience in revenue or reservations function.
• Technical proficiency with hotel systems and operations.
• Experience with Opera Cloud or V5, IDeaS G3 RMS and Travelclick CRS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Effectively apply revenue management philosophy across Mind Share, Market Share and Channel Share.
• Chair weekly revenue meetings with hotel teams to align strategy and profitability.
• Support other hotels in region with revenue, sales, marketing, pricing and reporting.
• Collaborate with General Manager and brand/digital teams on strategy and distribution.
• Ensure systems meet group requirements and adjust to support business.
• Perform weekly, monthly and ad-hoc data analysis and reporting.
• Identify actions from trends and report pace, booking windows and channels.
• Achieve room revenue goals and RevPAR Index with profitability focus.
• Prepare annual hotel revenue budget and ongoing results analysis.
• Prepare monthly forecasts with occupancy/rate and market mix breakdown.
• Monitor competitors and market demand; oversee channel management and inventory.
• Oversee RMS usage, system maintenance, and forecast validation with system interactions.

Job description

What you'll do...

• Effectively incorporate the revenue management philosophy of exceeding our fair share from three key perspectives, Mind Share, Market Share, Channel Share, in all aspects of revenue management, sales, marketing, and operations.
• Chair the weekly revenue meeting for your assigned property(ies) to collaborate on revenue management, sales, and marketing strategy with the hotel and support teams. Ensure to understand the impact of decisions on operations and profitability.
• Support additional hotels within your assigned region with revenue/sales/marketing processes, systems management, pricing, strategy, and reporting.
• Regularly collaborate with General Manager and sales, brand and digital teams on high level strategy decisions across market segments and distribution channels.
• Ensure that our current systems and processes meet group requirements and are adjusted appropriately to support the business.
• Responsible for weekly, monthly, and ad-hoc data analysis and reporting.
• Identify and report on actions taken with regards to important trends (i.e. pace, group pace, booking window, booking channel, etc).
• Responsible for achieving room revenue goals (budget, RevPAR Index etc.) with a focus on profitability.
• Prepare annual hotel revenue budget and maintain ongoing results analysis.
• Prepare monthly forecasts with a daily breakdown of occupancy/rate and market segment mix along with ongoing results analysis.
• Monitor competitors' products and revenue management practices. Also monitor new hotel development and local market demand generators.
• Maintain strong relationships with third-party partners including OTA market managers.
• Oversee channel management including rate loading and inventory management.
• Responsible for the continued usage and maintenance of the revenue management system.
• Responsible for forecast validation and daily interaction with system and the decisions produced, configuration and maintenance tasks related to the system.

• 2-3 years' minimum experience in revenue or seservations function is required. Experience in hotel openings and/or the Hamburg market is preferred although not required.
• You take ownership, solve problems, and make effective decisions.
• You are methodical and have a process-driven approach to tasks but are also flexible and calm especially in times of tight deadlines.
