Job summary

Gleiss Lutz is seeking a research assistant (wissenschaftliche Mitarbeiter) to join the Competition/Antitrust practice in Stuttgart. You will work closely with lawyers, conduct legal research, and help draft pleadings, contracts and related documents while possibly contributing to academic publications.

You may start during university studies, during your doctorate, or while completing your practical legal training, with a flexible schedule including at least two days per week.

Qualifications

• First state examination(s) with grade fully satisfactory or better.
• Very good command of English.
• Interest in business-related issues and challenging work.
• Enthusiasm for applying innovative technologies in the legal profession.
• A structured approach to legal analysis.
• Availability to work at least two days a week.

Responsibilities

• You’ll work closely with our lawyers and assist on ongoing client work.
• You’ll conduct legal research, analyse legal issues and present findings in a clear format.
• You’ll contribute to drafting, reviewing and revising pleadings, contracts and other legal documents.
• Depending on the practice area, contribute to academic publications.

We are seeking research assistants (wissenschaftliche Mitarbeiter) (m/f/d) to join our Competition/Antitrust practice at our Stuttgart office.

Our work focuses on:

• General competition/antitrust law
• Fine proceedings and abuse proceedings
• Merger control
• Antitrust-related civil law disputes, including private antitrust litigation
• Distribution antitrust

Your role

You’ll work closely with our lawyers and assist on ongoing client work. You’ll conduct legal research, analyse legal issues and present your findings in a clear and structured format. You’ll also contribute to drafting, reviewing and revising pleadings, contracts and other legal documents, as well as – depending on your practice area – academic publications.

Your profile

• First (or first and second) state examination(s), each with a grade of fully satisfactory (vollbefriedigend) or better
• Very good command of English
• Interest in business-related issues and challenging work
