Your mission

As a UAV Flight Test Pilot, you will work with Flight Test Engineers on planning, executing, and reporting on flight test results for our UAV platforms. You will collaborate with engineering, software, and production teams to validate system performance and contribute to autonomous flight technologies.

Responsibilities

• Conduct remote piloting of unmanned aircraft during development, integration, and validation test campaigns.
• Execute test cards precisely and safely according to the flight test plan, under supervision.
• Support test planning activities, including site selection, flight profiles, and weather considerations.
• Prepare UAV systems, including preflight configuration and system checks.
• Monitor telemetry and onboard video streams during flights.
• Participate in briefings and debriefings, providing feedback on aircraft behavior and system performance.
• Log observations, flight activities, and anomalies in flight test reports.
• Maintain situational awareness and ensure safety during all flight operations.
• Coordinate with GCS operators, observers, and engineers for safe flight operations.
• Assist with hardware/software ground verification.
• Follow safety protocols, conduct risk assessments, and respond to anomalies.
• Contribute to improving flight operations procedures and training materials.

Qualifications

• Valid EU A1 / A3 and A2 Remote Pilot Certificates per EASA regulations.
• Valid radio operator certificate (e.g., BZF).
• Manual piloting skills for fixed-wing and multirotor UAVs.
• Experience with GCS software, mission planning, and telemetry systems.
• Knowledge of test operations and safety protocols, especially BVLOS.
• Adaptability to evolving environments and last-minute changes.
• Effective communication skills for briefings and reports.
• Ability to maintain situational awareness during long and complex tests.
• Comfort with structured test procedures and detailed test cards.
• Willingness to follow instructions and provide disciplined feedback.
• High reliability, attention to detail, and risk awareness.
• Familiarity with logbook standards and documentation protocols.
