Job summary

ABB AG is seeking a Commissioning Engineer to lead the commissioning of automation and control systems at customer sites. You will coordinate with project teams, plan and execute commissioning activities, and ensure successful handover with tests and documentation.

The role requires a degree in electrical engineering or automation, plus experience in commissioning industrial or power facilities. Travel is expected; German fluency and good English are required.

Qualifications

• Completed degree in electrical engineering, automation technology, or related technical training.
• Experience in commissioning of industrial or power plant facilities.
• Knowledge of automation systems, control technology and process control.
• Understanding of industrial networks and fieldbus systems.
• Independent, structured and solution-oriented approach.
• Willingness to travel nationally and internationally.
• Strong communication skills in German; good English as well.

Responsibilities

• Commissioning of automation and control systems at customers' sites.
• Coordinate with customers and project teams through technical clarifications.
• Plan, coordinate and execute commissioning activities.
• Parameterize, configure and optimize control and process systems.
• Perform functional and system tests with customer acceptance and trials.
• Analyze and troubleshoot errors during commissioning.
• Create commissioning reports and technical documentation.
• Support service assignments and modernization projects with ABB systems.
