Job summary

Motherson SAS is seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist (m/f/d) to strengthen our HR team in Karlsruhe, Germany. You will manage monthly payroll operations for headquarters and coordinate with our external payroll provider, ensuring compliant and timely payroll processing and accurate data.

The ideal candidate has several years of German payroll experience, hands-on SAP payroll and P&I LOGA knowledge, and fluency in German with good English for international communication.

Qualifications

• Several years of professional experience in German payroll.
• Strong hands-on experience with monthly payroll operations.
• Experience with external payroll service providers.
• Very good knowledge of P&I LOGA preferred.
• Experience with SAP payroll postings or interfaces desirable.

Responsibilities

• Take operational responsibility for the monthly payroll processing for our Headquarters (approx. 90 employees)
• Prepare, maintain and validate all payroll-relevant employee data and transactions
• Support payroll activities for other German locations (in total approx.. 700 employees) where required
• Act as the central operational contact and coordinator for the external payroll service provider
• Review the quality and accuracy of payroll services and proactively follow up on discrepanciesEnsure clearly defined responsibilities, deadlines and interfaces between HR, the payroll provider and Finance
• Work extensively with P&I LOGA as the key payroll/HR system
• Develop and maintain a structured and reliable interface between Payroll, HR, Finance and SAP
• Coordinate payroll-related payment flows, including salaries and other payroll-related payments
• Ensure that payroll results are correctly transferred, reconciled and posted in the internal SAP system
• Analyze and resolve differences between payroll results, payment files and SAP postings
• Ensure appropriate documentation and internal controls for payroll-related financial processes

The position combines hands-on payroll activities with responsibility for coordinating and managing our external payroll provider and improving the interfaces between Payroll, HR, Finance and our internal SAP environment.

Profile

• Several years of professional experience in German payroll
• Strong hands-on experience with monthly payroll operations
• Experience working with and managing an external payroll service provider
• Very good practical knowledge of P&I LOGA is strongly preferred
• Experience with SAP, particularly payroll-related postings, interfaces or Finance processes, is highly desirable
• Experience in an international company or multi-site organization is an advantage
• Fluent German
• Good English skills, particularly for communication within an international organization
