• Prepare and independently process recurring monthly payroll for defined payroll groups across several subsidiaries
• Process payroll for collective-agreement employees, salaried employees, temporary workers, marginally employed staff, trainees, and company pensioners
• Maintain, review, and update payroll-relevant employee master data, transaction data, time management data, and absence data in SAP HCM for S/4HANA and Varial World
• Record, review, and process variable compensation components, premiums, one-time payments, benefits in kind, and compensation adjustments
• Assess individual payroll cases under tax and social security law
• Process notifications, certificates, and supporting documentation for social security institutions, tax authorities, and other external bodies
• Serve as a contact person for employees, managers, HR departments of subsidiaries, and external bodies
• Support internal and external wage tax and social security audits
• Reconcile payroll accounts and support month-end and year-end closing activities in cooperation with Financial Accounting and Controlling
• Prepare and review analyses, reports, and statistics
• Act as the group-wide contact person for SAP HCM for S/4HANA in payroll
• Contribute to the optimization, standardization, and digitalization of group-wide payroll processes, as well as system changes, testing, and interface validation

Requirements

• Completed commercial training or equivalent qualification
• Further training in payroll, human resources, tax, or social security is preferred
• Several years of professional experience in independently managing payroll
• Sound knowledge of wage tax, social security, and employment law, as well as notification and certification procedures
• Confident user of SAP HCM for S/4HANA in payroll
• Knowledge of Varial World PW is an advantage
• Experience processing payroll for different employee groups
• Experience with collective-agreement regulations and collaboration with Financial Accounting and Controlling is preferred
• Careful, structured, and deadline-oriented working style
• High sense of responsibility, discretion, and confidence in handling confidential employee data
• Team player with a professional, reliable, and service-oriented manner when dealing with employees, managers, and external bodies
