Job summary

Siemens Energy’s Transformers factory network seeks an Operational Excellence Professional to drive lean transformation, improve efficiency, and reduce costs across multiple sites in Germany. You will lead continuous improvement initiatives, standardize methods, and coach teams in Lean practices to enable faster, more reliable production.

The role emphasizes data-driven decision making, collaboration with factory leadership, and strong communication in English and German.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
  • Many years of professional experience in project execution, production, or logistics within manufacturing.
  • Lean training or certification and/or Six Sigma Green Belt/Black Belt.
  • Strong expertise in Lean, Six Sigma, valueStream mapping, process optimization, root cause analysis, and problem solving.
  • Experience in project planning, workshops, stakeholder management, performance monitoring, and cost analysis.
  • Very good communication in English and German.

Responsibilities

  • Lead process improvement and cost-reduction projects across the Transformer factory network.
  • Define project scope, goals, deliverables, and schedules with factory leadership.
  • Facilitate cross-functional workshops and best-practice exchanges between sites.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain standard operating methods and train colleagues in Lean methods.
  • Manage operational performance data, KPIs, and OKRs to identify inefficiencies and drive improvements.

Join Siemens Energy’s Transformers factory network as a Operational Excellence Professional (f/m/d) in Germany and help drive greater efficiency, productivity, and shorter lead times. You will lead continuous improvement and cost-reduction initiatives that support profitable revenue growth across multiple manufacturing sites. Working closely with factory teams, you will share best practices, standardise operating methods, and strengthen Lean ways of working. You will use performance data to identify opportunities, solve operational challenges, and support informed decision-making. Your work will help build a more agile, transparent, and efficient manufacturing organisation.

How You’ll Make an Impact
  • Lead process improvement and cost-reduction projects across the Transformers factory network to improve output and cost-effectiveness
  • Define project scope, goals, deliverables, and schedules, and collaborate with factory leadership and project sponsors to ensure successful execution
  • Facilitate cross‑functional workshops and best‑practice exchanges between manufacturing sites to support operational excellence
  • Develop, implement, and maintain standard operating methods, while training and coaching colleagues in Lean methodologies and continuous improvement practices
  • Manage operational performance data, monitor KPIs and OKRs, and analyse production and logistics processes to identify inefficiencies and implement data‑driven improvements
What You Bring
  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a closely related field
  • Many years of professional experience in project execution, production, or logistics within a manufacturing environment
  • Lean Training or a Lean Certification and/or Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification
  • Strong expertise in Lean methodologies, Six Sigma tools, value‑stream mapping, process optimisation, root‑cause analysis, and problem solving
  • Experience in project planning and execution, workshop facilitation, stakeholder and change management, performance monitoring, and cost analysis
  • Very good communication in English and German
