Job summary

Zalando GmbH is seeking a Transport Manager to oversee linehaul transports across Europe, focusing on outbound shipments. You will collaborate with multiple teams to plan, execute, and optimize transportation operations while aligning with business and economic goals.

You will organize domestic and international linehauls, dispatch and track tours, and help expand the transport network. A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and several years of logistics experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, logistics, economics or a related field.
• Several years of experience in logistics/supply chain, preferably transport management.
• Carrier management experience is a plus.

Job description

As a Transport Manager (all genders), you'll oversee linehaul transports connecting our warehouses and injection hubs across Europe. Your main focus will be on customer outbound shipments.

You'll work closely with various teams to plan, execute, develop, and implement transportation operations, always keeping our business and economic goals in mind.

WHAT WE'D LOVE YOU TO DO (AND LOVE DOING)

• You'll organize transportation operations for both domestic or international Linehauls
• You'll plan and dispatch and tours, then track them in our transportation management system
• You'll work on expansion and further development of existing setups and the transport network
• You will act as an interface between the logistics centers and forwarding agencies
• With creative ideas, you will solve the problems in the daily business
• You have a Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics management, economics or similar disciplines.
• Several years of experience in a logistics & supply chain related environment, preferably transport management, e-commerce is a plus, ideally with previous carrier management experience
• You are confident and convincing even in stressful situations, and you have a good sense of empathy
• You also bring a coherent, solution-oriented approach, the ability to work independently, and a strong team spirit.
