Discover your exciting role

The Lead Engineer (Sanitary) participates in a team environment consisting of engineers and designers to work on a variety of wet sanitation systems including wastewater treatment, stormwater and other gravity drainage systems, considering their impact on the environment and collaborating among various disciplines to minimize it.

Explore your tasks and responsibilities

• Work on a variety of wet sanitation systems, including wastewater treatment, stormwater and other gravity drainage systems, considering their impact on the environment and collaborating among various disciplines to minimize it.

• Plan natural gas supply systems (gas transfer stations, building distribution with installation parts) with good knowledge of municipal connections, supply, and disposal of buildings.

• Prepare planning documents and services based on HOAI service phases 1-9.

• Develop and evaluate plant concepts, layouts, technical schedules, flow diagrams, site and location plans, and performance specifications.

• Ensure compliance with all applicable international norms, standards, and GMP regulations.

• Review and evaluate contractor work, review, and supplement specifications (URS) and other related documents.

• Contribute to project management from conception to realization.

Show your expertise

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent technical background; NCEES record recommended.

• 7+ years of experience in plumbing, wastewater, and stormwater systems engineering; experience with natural gas utility systems is a plus.

• Experience with advanced technology facilities (e.g., semiconductors) and proficiency in Autodesk Building Systems Software.

• General knowledge of quality control processes.

• Strong team player with the ability to build effective relationships with colleagues, department leads, and clients.

• Fluent in German and very good English skills.
