Zusammenfassung

Rocket Factory Augsburg (RFA) is seeking a motivated student to join the simulation team. You will work on cluster-based CFD tasks, develop aerodynamic setups in OpenFOAM, and perform external and internal CFD analyses, including sloshing, while optimizing workflows.

You will collaborate in an international, dynamic New Space startup environment, with flexible hours and opportunities to grow your skills in aerodynamics, CFD, and high-performance computing.

Qualifikationen

• Current bachelor or master student in aerospace engineering or simulation technology.
• Experience in CFD and aerodynamic courses.
• Strong understanding of fluid modelling and numerical methods.
• Experience in OpenFOAM, C++, Python, Matlab and cluster calculation.

Aufgaben

• Conduction of CFD calculations of sub-, trans- and hypersonic external flows.

Your Tasks

• Defining requirements for cluster computation
• Development of a basic aerodynamic setup in OpenFoam
• Conduction of CFD calculations of sub-, trans- and hypersonic external flows
• Conduction of internal CFD calculations including sloshing
• Optimization of the computation workflow

Your Qualifications

• Current bachelor or master student in aerospace engineering or simulation technology
• Previous experience in CFD and aerodynamic courses
• Good understanding of mathematical and physical modelling of fluids including numerical methods
• Experience in OpenFOAM, C++, Python, Matlab and cluster calculation
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, self-study experience
• Fluent oral and written English skills (all day-to-day activities are performed in English)
