Rocket Factory Augsburg (RFA) is seeking an enrolled Aerospace engineering student to join our mission-focused team in Augsburg. You will write high-efficiency Python code for mission automation, model trajectories, and develop analysis tools for space missions.

Working with an international, agile team, you will gain hands-on experience in orbital mechanics, data science, and aerospace software while contributing to daily mission tasks and teambuilding events in a dynamic New Space startup.

Qualifikationen

• Enrolled Bachelor's or Master's student in Aerospace engineering.
• Experience in Python, Git, and MATLAB/Simulink.
• Solid understanding of flight physics, orbital mechanics and rocketry.
• Fluent English for day-to-day work.
• Willingness to participate in teambuilding events.

Your Tasks

• Writing high efficient code for mission automatization and simulation
• Mathematical and physical modelling of rocket- and spacecraft trajectories
• Development and integration of analysis tools for space missions
• Contribute to daily upcoming mission related tasks

Your Qualifications

• Enrolled Bachelor or Master student in Aerospace engineering
• Experience in python, Git, Matlab/Simulink
• Very good understanding of flight physics, orbital mechanics and rocketry
• Strong affinity to efficient coding, automatization and data science
• First experience in the space industry or in a technical environment is a plus
• Business fluent English oral and written (all day-to-day activities are performed in English)
• Strong time management, team player attitude and emotional intelligence
• Self-independent, proactive and structured way of working
• Willingness in participating teambuilding events
