Job summary

LG Chem Europe GmbH in Frankfurt seeks an Injection Molding Engineer (m/f/d) to strengthen the laboratory team. You will support sample preparation, run molding experiments, and document results for diverse materials in a European office environment.

The role requires training in plastic technology or related fields, practical molding knowledge, and proficiency in English and German. Collaboration in global projects and ongoing development are offered.

Qualifications

• Completed training as an injection molding assistant or polymer processing.
• Experience at an injection molding company or mold maker preferred.
• Practical and theoretical knowledge of injection molding processes and mold design.
• Good teamwork and a communicative, engaging personality.

Responsibilities

• Prepare samples and material pre-drying for injection molding experiments.
• Check the connected line (air, electricity, water) for injection molding experiments.
• Execute injection molding experiments for various materials (e.g., ABS, PO, EP).
• Process test requests in the laboratory.
• Operate injection molding machines and evaluate data; back up data.
• Maintain injection molding machines for reliable operation.
• Document test results in German and English.
• Participate in optimizing workflows in the laboratory.
• Join global, multidisciplinary project meetings.

Injection Molding Engineer (m/f/d)

in our Frankfurt office to strengthen our team as soon as possible:

Responsibilities:

• Preparation of samples and material pre-drying for injection molding experiment
• Checking the connected line (Air, Electricity, Water) for injection molding experiment
• Execution of injection molding experiment for various material (e.g. ABS, PO, EP)
• Responsible processing of test requests in the laboratory
• Operation of injection molding machine & data evaluation and data backup
• Maintenance of injection molding machine for use at all time
• Documentation of test results in German and English
• Participation in the optimization and improvement of workflows in the laboratory
• Participation in global, multidisciplinary project meetings

Experience Requirements / Competencies:

• Successfully completed training as an injection molding assistant or Polymer processing (Ausbildung Kunststofftechnik or comparable)
• Working experience at injection molding company or Mold maker will be preferred
• Practical and theoretical knowledge in injection molding process & Mold design
• Enjoyment of technology as well as commitment and creativity
• Ability to work in a team as a communicative and engaging personality who carries out their tasks with great commitment, enthusiasm and vision
• Good MS Office skills as well as written and spoken English and German
