Surecomp is seeking a highly skilled IT System Administrator to join its global IT operations team in Hamburg. The role blends end-user support with on-site infrastructure management, including AD, O365, and identity controls via Okta.

You will work across Windows and Linux servers, VMware hosts, network devices, and security tooling in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities include managing backups with Commvault, incident response with SOC, and ITSM processes via Jira.

Qualifikationen

• Experience providing IT end-user support and on-site infrastructure management.
• Proficiency with Windows Server and Linux basics, plus Active Directory.
• Hands-on experience with Okta SSO/MFA and identity controls.
• Familiarity with VMware environments and network equipment.
• Security-minded approach aligned with NIST/ISO 27001.
• Strong documentation and ITSM (JIRA) practices.

We are seeking a highly skilled IT System Administrator to join our global IT operations team. This role combines end-user support with on-site infrastructure management, supporting Surecomp’s environment.

Key Responsibilities

End User & IT Support

• Provide technical support for desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and enterprise applications
• Troubleshoot issues related to Windows/Linux OS, Office 365, network connectivity, VPN, and user access
• Support identity and access management via Okta (SSO, MFA)
• Handle user‑related security incidents in coordination with SOC
• Maintain server cabinet / edge infrastructure
• Support VMware hosts, Juniper switches, and Checkpoint connectivity
• Perform hardware diagnostics and connectivity validation
• Administer Windows Server and basic Linux systems

Backup & Recovery

• Monitor backups using Commvault
• Perform restore tests
• Support data recovery drills and failover scenarios
• Respond to CrowdStrike alerts
• Execute containment actions and escalate when needed

Network Support

• Troubleshoot VLANs, switching, and firewall connectivity
• Coordinate changes with global teams

Global Operations & ITSM (JIRA)

• Manage all work via JIRA tickets
• Maintain documentation and SLA tracking
• Participate in weekly global IT meetings
• Collaborating with global IT teams

Security Responsibilities

• Enforce MFA and Zero Trust principles
• Ensure audit logging
• Follow NIST / ISO 27001 best practices
