To strengthen our IT team, we are looking for a Senior System Administrator (Windows) (f/m/d) to not only operate but actively develop and future‑proof our internal IT landscape.
In this role, you are taking on a key responsibility for the architecture, stability, and scalability of our systems. You are proactively contributing to strategic initiatives, optimizing existing structures, and driving automation and modernization across our IT infrastructure.

Responsibilities
- Taking full ownership of administering, evolving, and scaling our internal system landscape (Windows clients, servers, and cloud environments)
- Designing, implementing, and optimizing IT infrastructures with a focus on stability, security, and performance
- Developing and automating processes using PowerShell and other technologies
- Evaluating, introducing, and standardising new tools, systems, and technologies
- Analyzing complex system environments and identifying and resolving root causes of issues
- Ensuring stable and secure operations through monitoring, performance optimisation, and proactive measures
- Advancing and integrating network infrastructures (LAN/Wi‑Fi, DHCP, DNS, IP management) into the overall architecture
- Documenting system architectures, processes, and best practices to ensure transparency and maintainability
- Acting as a technical point of contact for complex topics and supporting the team on advanced issues
Key Qualifications
- Degree in IT, completed vocational training (e.g., IT specialist), or a comparable qualification
- Several years of professional experience in Windows system administration within complex environments
- Strong expertise in designing, managing, and optimising Active Directory and Group Policies (GPOs)
- Solid experience in automation with PowerShell and ideally another programming language
- Deep understanding of network architectures and protocols (LAN/Wi‑Fi, DHCP, DNS)
- Experience in performance optimisation and troubleshooting of complex systems
- Structured, independent, and solution‑oriented working style with a high level of ownership
- Fluent German and good English skills
Desirables
- Experience with VR/AR hardware or specialised technical setups
- Knowledge of IT security, system hardening, and best practices
- Experience with software and hardware lifecycle management
