Job summary

STS Group is seeking an experienced HSE Lead for our Life Sciences project in Frankfurt, Germany. The role focuses on safeguarding people and environments by leading HSE programs and maintaining compliance across sites.

You will conduct audits, develop HSE documents and ensure adherence to ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001. Collaboration with management, subcontractors and clients is essential to promote a strong HSE culture.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of HSE leadership experience in a construction environment.
• Third-level qualification in Environmental, Health & Safety or a similar field.
• Thorough knowledge of current HSE legislation and regulations.
• Ability to manage all HSE issues on projects.
• Excellent IT skills and able to learn new systems.
• Self-starter with initiative and proactivity.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• High proficiency in English (written & spoken).

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular site audits and assessments; follow up on corrective actions.
• Develop project-specific HSE documents with project management (HSE plans, RAMS, Aspects & Impacts Register).
• Ensure sites comply with HSE legislation and our ISO 9001, 14001 & 45001 standards.
• Collaborate with site management, subcontractors and clients to promote EHS requirements.
• Deliver inductions and training to support STS Mission Zero.

Join STS Group as our next HSE Lead in Frankfurt, Germany! We are looking for an experienced Health, Safety and Environmental professional to join our Life Sciences project in Frankfurt. STS Group is fully committed to the highest Health, Safety and Environmental practices; this leadership role is critical for our business.

The Opportunity

As our next HSE Lead, you'll play a vital role in everyone going home safely at the end of each day. You'll work closely with the site management teams to ensure a positive and well-informed HSE culture flourishes. Key to this role will be identifying all HSE risks and ensuring the best prevention and mitigation controls are in place.

What You'll Do

• The Expert - Conducting regular site audits and assessments, following up on corrective actions and being the go-to for all things Health, Safety, and Environmental.
• Sharing and Reporting- Development of project-specific HSE documents in conjunction with the project management team (HSE Plans, RAMS, Aspects & Impacts Register etc).
• Meeting the Highest Standards- Ensuring our sites are compliant to all relevant HSE legislation, and adherent to our HSEQ Management systems (ISO 9001, 14001 & 45001).
• Team Collaboration- Proactively work with site management teams, subcontractors, and clients to promote the project EHS requirements.
• Promoting STS Mission Zero- Making sure company inductions, site orientations and training are delivered in a timely manner.

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years' HSE leadership experience in a construction environment, ideally on electrical and/or mechanical projects.
• Relevant third-level qualification and training in Environmental, Health & Safety or Similar Qualification.
• Thorough knowledge of current HSE-related legislation & regulations.
• Ability to efficiently manage all HSE issues on your projects.
• Excellent IT skills; you pick up new systems with ease.
• A self-starter and capable of working on your own initiative.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• High Proficiency in the English language (written & spoken).
