Job summary

STS Group is recruiting a German-speaking Electrical Foreman to join a major data centre project in Frankfurt, Germany. You will lead on-site electrical teams, coordinate subcontractors, maintain safety, and ensure adherence to drawings and schedules.

Reporting to the Site Manager, you will conduct daily safety briefings in German, review RAMS, and drive quality across MV/LV systems, cabling, and distribution. A proven track record in similar projects and German working rights are essential.

Qualifications

• Fluent German language required for on-site communication.
• Electrical craft qualification/trade background.
• Proven track record as Electrical Foreman or Site Supervisor on data-centre/heavy industrial projects in Germany.
• Strong understanding of electrical containment, MV/LV distribution, and cabling.
• Knowledge of German standards (DGUV/VDE) and safety rules.
• Excellent leadership and problem-solving on tight deadlines.
• Valid working rights in Germany.

Join STS Group as our next German-Speaking Electrical Foreman for a major data centre project in Frankfurt.

We are looking for an experienced German-speaking Electrical Foreman to join our project team in Frankfurt, Germany. Part of the Dussmann Group of companies based out of Berlin, STS Group is fully committed to the highest Health, Safety, Environmental & Quality practices.

The Opportunity

This role will work closely with our Site Management and Engineering teams to directly supervise and coordinate site activities across electrical installation packages. Key to this role will be fluent German language skills and strong leadership capability, enabling you to manage German sub-contractors effectively, maintain clear site communication, and ensure work is delivered safely, efficiently, and to high quality standards.

Reporting to the Electrical Construction Supervisor / Site Manager, here are some of the key duties of this role:

• Oversee daily site execution, directly managing German sub-contractors and site trade teams across electrical containment, cabling, switchgear, and power distribution systems.
• Act as the primary point of contact on site for German-speaking trade crews, ensuring work instructions, technical specifications, and daily targets are clearly communicated and understood.
• Conduct daily pre-start briefings, tool-box talks, and safety briefings in German to ensure strict adherence to STS Group EHS guidelines and local safety requirements.
• Monitor daily progress against project schedules, identifying potential bottlenecks or site clashes early and reporting back to the Site Manager.
• Conduct regular site walk-downs to perform quality checks on ongoing installations, addressing punch-list items and ensuring compliance with approved drawings.
• Coordinate material deliveries, equipment movement, and site logistics to maintain efficient work areas for all trades.
• Review Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS) with working crews before task execution to ensure safe working practices at all times.
• Work collaboratively with Quality, Safety, and Commissioning teams to support walk-downs and preliminary inspections prior to handover.

Key Qualifications Required:

• Fluency in German (spoken and written) is essential for direct communication with sub-contractors and local partners.
• Electrical craft qualification/trade background (e.g., Elektroniker, Elektroinstallateur, or recognised electrical trade qualification).
• Proven track record as an Electrical Foreman or Site Supervisor on Data Centre, commercial, or heavy industrial construction projects in Germany.
• Solid technical understanding of electrical containment, MV/LV power distribution, lighting, and cable management systems.
• Strong knowledge of German electrical standards and site safety regulations (e.g., DGUV / VDE).
• Excellent communication, leadership, and crew-management skills with a practical, hands‑on problem‑solving approach.
• Ability to work effectively to tight deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
• Current working rights in Germany.
