NRL is seeking an experienced Health & Safety Manager to join on-site construction projects across Munich, Frankfurt, or Switzerland. You will provide leadership on site for HSE initiatives and mentor a team of on-site H&S Managers, serving as the primary liaison for H&S with client representatives.

The role requires fluency in German and English, a strong background in construction safety, and professional certifications such as CMIOSH or NEBOSH Diploma.

Client Overview

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional leadership on site for all health and safety initiatives
• Manage and mentor a team of on-site H&S Managers
• Serve as the primary liaison for H&S matters with client representatives
• Ensure compliance with company standards, policies and relevant legislation
• Oversee inspections, risk assessments, and workplace health checks
• Investigate incidents and disseminate learnings across teams
• Monitor and report on H&S performance for the site
• Deliver training and coaching to staff on H&S best practices

Must-have Requirements

• Professional fluency in German and English
• EU passport holder or German national
• Prior H&S experience within construction environments
• At least 12 years’ experience, with significant time in H&S roles
• Membership or certification such as CMIOSH / NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Good IT proficiency

Nice-to-have Skills

• Experience in pharma, data centre, or battery manufacturing projects
• Additional qualifications in engineering or construction management
• Knowledge of lifting operations and relevant industry standards
• Exposure to behavioural safety, occupational health or BIM methodologies
