Job summary

emplify GmbH in Grafenwöhr, Germany, seeks a Hotel Angestellte/R (Zimmerservice) to clean and maintain guest areas and support breakfast service. The role requires English and German language proficiency (B1) and a willingness to work weekends and holidays.

This is a permanent part-time position (24 hours per week) in a Nonappropriated Fund setting. Heavy lifting up to 45 lbs is required, and candidates must be able to follow brief instructions and perform duties accordingly.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize guest rooms, restrooms, corridors, lobbies, and public areas.

• Assist in preparing and maintaining the Continental Breakfast area.
• Support maintenance with intensive cleaning tasks and chemical treatments.
• Inspect and report facility defects and repair needs.
• Handle and launder linens and towels; manage laundry facilities.

HOTELANGESTELLTE/R (ZIMMERSERVICE)

• Cleans and sanitizes guest rooms, restrooms, corridors, lobbies, vending spaces, and public areas; dusts furniture, washes woodwork and appliances, empties trash, and restocks daily bathroom amenities.
• Makes beds and replaces linens every three days; vacuums carpets and draperies; ensures all lights and appliances are switched off and all windows and doors are securely locked upon departure.
• Assists in preparing, setting up, and continuously maintaining the Continental Breakfast area for guests.
• Supports maintenance with intensive tasks, including shampooing carpets, sweeping and mopping, washing high fixtures/partitions, and utilizing specialized chemicals to remove stains from surfaces.
• Inspects, cleans, adjusts, and replaces parts, bags, brushes, and attachments on vacuum machines; promptly reports facility defects and repair needs to the Custodial Worker Leader or Assistant Hotel Manager.
• Collects, counts, bundles, and replaces soiled linens and towels; folds and stores clean linens, bedspreads, and drapery for daily guest operations.
• Operates commercial, heavy-duty washing machines, dryers, and industrial ironers; cleans and sanitizes laundry facilities, filters, and ventilation ducts.

No specific experience or education required. Applicant must be able to perform the duties of the position after brief instructions.

LANGUAGE PROFICIENCY LEVEL

English and German Language Proficiency Level B1 required.
