Job summary

Tiens is seeking an experienced Financial Accountant / Finance Coordinator to support our finance operations in Germany. You will coordinate the preparation of German annual financial statements (Jahresabschluss), ensure compliance with HGB, and support monthly, quarterly, and annual closing.

This role serves as a key point of contact between internal departments, auditors, and tax advisors, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of accounting/finance experience in Germany.
• Experience coordinating Jahresabschluss and year-end closing.
• Strong knowledge of German accounting regulations (HGB).
• Experience with external tax advisors and auditors.
• ERP experience with SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, Oracle, Datev, or One Stop Shop.
• Fluent in German and English; Chinese is a plus.

• Prepare regular financial reports and analyses for management.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth finance operations.
• Support continuous improvement of finance processes and internal controls.
• Perform other finance and accounting tasks as assigned by the Finance Manager.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Financial Accountant / Finance Coordinator to support our finance operations in Germany. Working closely with the Finance Manager and external tax advisors, you will coordinate the preparation of German annual financial statements (Jahresabschluss), ensure compliance with German accounting regulations (HGB), and support monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes.

This role serves as a key point of contact between internal departments, auditors, and tax advisors, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting. The ideal candidate has hands-on accounting experience, strong knowledge of German financial regulations, and is comfortable managing full accounting processes beyond bookkeeping.

• Strong knowledge of German accounting regulations (HGB).
• Experience working with external tax advisors and auditors.
• Experience in finance operations, financial planning, budgeting and reporting, including coordinating monthly, quarterly and annual closing.
• ERP experience (SAP / Microsoft Dynamics / Oracle / Datev / One Stop Shop) and experience managing accounting processes.
• Fluent in German and English, both written and spoken; Chinese language skills are an advantage.
