Job summary

1&1 IONOS SE is seeking an on-site hybrid Events Manager to plan, execute, and optimize engagements for our brands, from concept to follow-up. You will collaborate with Sales on lead strategies and use AI tools to streamline briefings and run-of-show plans.

The role requires German and English proficiency, 3+ years of B2B event experience, and willingness to travel. Hybrid work model with flexible hours and modern offices in Berlin and other locations.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of B2B event & trade fair experience with on-site management.
• Strong project management: budgets, timelines and multiple projects.
• Supplier management: negotiate with venues, agencies and trade fair organizers.

Tasks

You want to plan events yourself and run them on site, from the first idea to the last guest? With us you own events and trade fair appearances for IONOS and our brands, from our own IONOS Summit to major international fairs. AI is your standard tool, so there is more time for details.

Tasks

• You design events and trade fair appearances for our brands and deliver them independently: from the briefing and stand concept to follow-up.
• You handle the operational planning of your events: you find suitable venues, create timelines and run-of-show plans and coordinate all trades involved, keeping an eye on costs throughout.
• You lead your events on site, from build-up and live operation to dismantling, and are the first point of contact for the team, service providers and guests.
• You manage our service providers: you obtain quotes and negotiate terms with venues and trade fair organisers.
• You develop the target group and lead strategy for each event together with Sales, ensure clean lead capture on site and report on the results.
• You use AI tools and automations, e.g. for briefings, run-of-show plans and reporting, so our processes become more efficient with every event.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of B2B event & trade fair experience incl. on-site management (in-house or agency).
• Strong project management: experienced in budget, time and resource planning across several parallel projects.
• Supplier management: confident in negotiations with agencies, venues and trade fair organisers.
• Results orientation: focus on target groups, leads and pipeline alongside smooth operations.
• AI-first: daily use of AI tools (ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude etc.). Please include a practical example/AI workflow with your CV.
• Business-fluent German & English and willingness to travel.
