Job summary

JAC Recruitment seeks an English-speaking Field Application Engineer to expand our semiconductor and automotive-electronics business in Europe. The role is primarily office-based in Düsseldorf, with responsibilities spanning ECU development support, system-solution proposals to the sales team, and ongoing technical assistance.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years in field engineering or ECU design, a background in electronics engineering, and willingness to travel as projects demand.

Overview

A Japanese technology trading company specializing in the procurement, sales, and technical support of semiconductors and electronic components for the automotive industry is seeking an English-speaking Field Application Engineer for the semiconductor(m/f/d) to expand its business in Europe.

Responsibilities

• Product Launch Support: Assist in the development of ECU circuits for automotive components using semiconductors and electronic parts.
• Sales Expansion Activities: Propose system solutions based on product knowledge and provide technical support to the sales team.
• Technical Support: Offer additional technical assistance as needed.

Requirements

• English: Business-level proficiency required.
• German/Japanese: Preferred but not mandatory.
• 3–5 years of experience as a Field Application Engineer at a semiconductor manufacturer or trading company, or experience in ECU system design at a product manufacturer.
• Education: Background in electronic engineering or related fields is highly desirable.
• Project Management: Experience in managing technical projects.
• Travel: Willingness to travel depending on project needs.
